Halva Ice Cream
I can always rely on this easy recipe for homemade ice cream to end a meal on a high note. Serve with hot chocolate sauce and garnish with a mint leave.
Method
- Beat egg yokes with sugar until light and fluffy.
- Whip the cream until stiff and fold into the egg yolks.
- Beat egg whites stiffly and fold into the egg yolk and cream mixture.
- Flake the halva, add to the ice cream and mix well.
- Spoon the ice cream into an airtight container and freeze for at least 18 hours.
- Serve with chocolate sauce and garnish with a mint leave.
