Halva Ice Cream

I can always rely on this easy recipe for homemade ice cream to end a meal on a high note. Serve with hot chocolate sauce and garnish with a mint leave.

Method

  1. Beat egg yokes with sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Whip the cream until stiff and fold into the egg yolks.
  3. Beat egg whites stiffly and fold into the egg yolk and cream mixture.
  4. Flake the halva, add to the ice cream and mix well.
  5. Spoon the ice cream into an airtight container and freeze for at least 18 hours.
  6. Serve with chocolate sauce and garnish with a mint leave.
