Chinese Pork Dumpling Soup

Just love the flavour of this fabulously quick and easy Chinese pork dumpling soup.

Method

  1. Prepare the dumplings. Place all the ingredients into a mixing bowl and combine well. Cover and set aside for 30 minutes.
  2. Make the broth. Simmer the stock, star anise, ginger and garlic for 10 minutes in a large saucepan.
  3. Shape eight golf-ball sized pork dumplings with your hands. Carefully drop the dumplings into the simmering broth and add the shredded Chinese cabbage and spring onions. Simmer for 10 minutes and season with the soy sauce.
  4. Serve piping hot in soup bowls
