Broccoli with Spicy Yogurt
Steamed broccoli is briefly grilled and then topped with a dollop of spicy yogurt. It is very easy to make and delicious to eat as part of an Indian meal. I also like to serve it with grilled fish.
Method
- Blanch the broccoli in salted water for 4 minutes. Drain the broccoli and place into a roasting tin. Drizzle with a bit of olive oil and lightly char the broccoli under the grill.
- Meanwhile, toast the spices in a hot frying pan for 2 minutes until fragrant. Grind the spices in a spice grinder and stir into the yogurt reserving a teaspoon of the spices to garnish the dish. Season the yogurt with lemon zest, lemon juice and salt and ground black pepper to taste.
- Serve the broccoli in a bowl with the spiced yogurt spooned over. Sprinkle with the remaining spice mixture.
